We are quite set on the PS Maturity Benchmark survey window each year, you can expect this to open each year between September and December. With release around mid-February.

Research participants in SPI surveys, at no cost, receive the respective reports and results for their own organization. Also, SPI each year grant distribution rights to sponsoring technology platforms for circulation of SPI’s independent research; these are usually available to download for free from participating vendor sites. SPI also publishes annual benchmark reports, whitepapers, and insight studies that are available for purchase or free download from our Reports Hub. In some cases, you can also receive SPI insights direct to your back-office technology platform, if your vendor licenses SPI data through an SPI Inside™ partnership.

Confidentiality is central to SPI’s credibility. All benchmark and research submissions are de-identified, aggregated, and stored separately from published data and products. Individual company information is never shared or attributed, and SPI does not sell participant personal or company data to third parties. For more on this, see our Privacy Policy.

The PS Maturity Model™ is SPI’s industry-standard framework that helps Professional Services Organizations (PSOs) measure and improve performance across five key pillars: Leadership, Client Relationships, Talent, Service Execution, and Finance & Operations. It’s the foundation for SPI’s annual benchmark studies and diagnostic tools. For more on the PS Maturity Model™.

SPI Inside™ is SPI’s AI-powered performance insight engine. It embeds SPI’s aggregated benchmark data directly into partner technology platforms – such as PSA, HCM, ERP, and CRM systems – enabling real-time, in-system benchmarking against industry peers.

All participant data remains aggregated, anonymized, and securely segregated from SPI Inside™ to ensure full confidentiality. SPI Inside™ never exposes individual firm data or shares vendor competitive insights. For more on SPI Inside™.

SPI is wholly independently owned and funded.

The answer is both. Legally, we are Service Performance Insight, LLC. But to many in the PS Community, we will always be SPI Research (the name we coined early on, and the domain of our website). These names, as well as the abbreviated SPI, can be used interchangeably.

Definitions of commonly used metrics and KPIs, among other terms, are defined in our research reports themselves, either when introduced to a paper, or in the appendix. For any metrics you’re not sure on, do drop us an email to ask at info@spiresearch.com.
