What is the Professional Services Maturity Benchmark?
The Professional Services Maturity Benchmark™ is an annual research study by Service Performance Insight (SPI Research). It examines professional services performance across five maturity pillars, including business growth, billable utilisation, project delivery and profitability. The 2027 edition is the 20th annual benchmark.
The survey is intended for leaders in consulting firms, technology services businesses and professional services teams within larger organisations, with visibility into their business performance.

The 2027 Professional Services Maturity Benchmark report, Executive Insights Pack and personalised maturity overview will be delivered to participants in February 2027, when the findings are published.
What does the personalised maturity overview cover?
It provides a high-level view of your organisation’s maturity score across Leadership, Client Relationships, Talent, Service Execution and Finance & Operations, based on your survey responses.
How long does the survey take?
Allow approximately 30 minutes. Completion time will depend on how readily you have your organisation’s figures available.

When does the survey close?
The survey for the 2027 Professional Services Maturity Benchmark closes on 18 December 2026.
Is the 2027 benchmark report available now?
